Privacy Policy

Basup.ai ("Basup", "we", "us") provides an AI-powered safety-monitoring application for construction sites. This policy explains what information the Basup.ai mobile app and web dashboard collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the account holders and authorized users of a Basup.ai workspace.

Information we collect

• Account information. Your email address, used to create and sign in to your account via a one-time passcode. We do not store passwords.
• Location data. When you log a safety incident, the app may attach the device's GPS coordinates so the incident can be mapped to a location on the site.
• Photos and video. Footage you record during a security round, and the image frames extracted from it, are uploaded so violations can be detected, reviewed, and stored as evidence.
• Site and inspection content. Site names, addresses, survey records, detected violations, and related notes that you or your team create in the app.
• Diagnostic data. Basic technical logs (such as error reports and request metadata) used to keep the service reliable and secure.

How we use your information

• To provide the core functionality of the app — detecting PPE and safety violations, generating compliance reports, and syncing evidence to your workspace.
• To authenticate you and secure your account.
• To tag and organize incidents by location and site.
• To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability and safety of the service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or third-party tracking.

Where your data is stored

Video, images, and incident data are stored in secure cloud storage on Google Cloud Platform, scoped to your account and site. Access is restricted to authorized members of your workspace and to Basup personnel who operate the service.

Sharing

We share data only with infrastructure and processing providers that operate the service on our behalf (for example, cloud hosting and AI processing), under agreements that limit their use of the data to providing those services. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time using the contact below.

Your choices

• You can decline location permission on your device; incidents will then be logged without GPS coordinates.
• You can decline camera permission, though recording safety rounds requires it.
• You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by contacting us.
